Has anybody used or heard anything about him and his saddle fitting? My horses saddle could do with a flock and he works from quite a local tack shop, but i am very wary of saddlers after quite a few bad experiences with them. So any experiences gratefully recieved.

I wouldn't use anyone else. He is a really nice man as well as a good saddle fitter. Very patient and nice to the horses.

I also have had some ghastly experiences with saddle fitters. I did like Wychanger Barton but so far away and I have no transport now.

I have used him and he comes highly recommended by Ridemore. He reflocked my saddle on site and I didn't feel like he did any work that wasn't necessary so. If I still lived in Somerset I would continue to use him.

There is only one person in Somerset to use and that is Nathanial Underwood. Google his name. He teaches my local master saddler when they go on courses.

He is incredibly thorough and well worth seeing. He watches you ride as well as looking at the horse.

He hasn't been in Somerset for quite some time now. He moved to Wiltshire and now I believe is in Dorset. He used to own Wychanger Barton and misfitted one of my horses, so I wouldn't use him again even if he was back in Somerset, but I guess everyone has preferences.

I use one in Cornwall, but that is OK for me as I am in Cornwall a lot with my horses. The man I use has been a Master Saddler for more than 40 years and my horses has never gone better than in the saddle he took the time and patience to fit last summer, after the one that Nathaniel had fitted caused back problems. Like I said, horses for courses, though.
