LOL - Didn't even know you could get ready tied ones....that probably would've been my best option.....bit too late now.

Attach the button hole to the shirt button. Loop 1 end through the slot on the other side. Tie a tightish reef knot at the front, making sure that the visible flap end cover the knot. Pin down securely. 2 pins is best as it looks very silly when it comes out of your jacket and trails behind like Biggles!

i know this probably sounds daft, but make sure its tight enough to feel secure without choking you, they loosen off a bit as you ride.
if you get it right the two loose ends should cross over each other.
plus, i find that i HAVE to wear a hair net if i'm wearing a stock and not a tie as the bit of hair that sits nearest the stock ties itself up into the most enormous knot!

Dont buy ready tied stock , they never look right and come loose and then look worse than a badly tied stock.
I was always told that a stock had to be tight enough ,that if you fell and broke your neck it would support it!!!

a bit of a question, i've got a stock which i wear without it crossing over (last step of diagram), i kind of tie it slightly like a tie but bring it back over, kind of 'poof' it up and pin it. Is this ok? I'm wearing it again tommorrow and don't want to seem silly!
