Can yuo believe it?
I have the day off work today and my plan was to go on a nice ride on my girlie as we don't get much time this time of year!
I have got up and mucked out and it is gale force winds out there, she is not good with wind on the best of days!
How annoying is that?
I would rather have rain than wind.
Fingers crossed it will calm down a bit later before I have to go and pick the villans up from school.

Happens to me all the time. If I plan a competition, a hack with friends or anything else really, he'll lose a shoe, the lorry won't start or work will call me in.

I just take each day at a time now.

I had my first holiday off work over Christmas for nearly a year and my mare pulled a muscle and couldn't be ridden

I was supposed to be taking my mare to showjumping tonight and now she's buggered it up. I bought her last april and she wouldn't let me ride her until October when a professional had a word with her. Finally got a GP saddle to jump on after much searching and fannying about a week before christmas and now it seems everytime I plan to go anywhere fate and my horse conspire against me! When I caught her yesterday her leg was covered in blood WONDERFUL. Actually it isn't as bad as it looked, quite a deep, long scratch down the front of her cannon bone, but its sore enough to rule out jumping tonight. The worst thing about it is I know she's done it herself scratching her leg with the other foot.

She's probably got out of going for another fortnight because I go away with work for nine days on Monday so I'm gutted.
