udder cream

what is udder cream for?

i have a mare and bought the gold label udder cream as i thought it would be something good to have but dont really know what it’s for and how to use it.

i’ve been having a look and have even seen things that its good for mud fever and legs?

also wondering how often i should be using it!

Any skin condition really. Rowers use it for their hands.

I use it for any dry skin that needs soothing. The Battles one is white rather than pink, which is better if, like me, you start panicking when you see pink on your horse and you forgot you put cream on him in the morning.

I love that you bought it and didn't know what it could be used for. It reminds me of a story of my long dead nanna, who famously once joined a queue and then asked the people in front of her what they were queuing for !
OP, I am also guilty of buying things in tackshops and online that "look useful" or "sound good" but that said, I've made some useful discoveries amongst the moneywasters. I never have bought udder cream, but I think I've bought just about every other mud fever lotion and potion on the market over the last couple of months!

haha!! it’s a bit of a problem but i have found some quite useful things!!

My friend, a farmers wife, has probably used tons of the stuff over the last 50 years. It is slathered on any skin that is broken or sore or needs waterproofing, both human and animal.

My preferred one is Uddermint, which smells lovely as well as being fantastic for winter hands.
