Did anyone do this last year? I've heard there's lots of road work - I object to paying for a hack on the roads. Can anyone tell me what proportion of the ride is roads and what is off road?
 
We did this ride last year with my youngster and a couple of friends. It was very inviting with a nice selection of fences in various sizes. The going was excellent as its natural gravel tracks so free draining but not deep. I've double checked with the others but the only bit we remember on the road was when you come up by the big house, down the drive then a couple of minutes on a lane to get back to the parking.the vast majority was on paths in private wood/farmland which you couldnt normally access.
