Flicking through all my photo's of Kalli and just thinking what an improvement! She was bought for her temperament and safety, not looks, but she's really grown up and started to look like a proper horse.

When I first went to see her: very unfit and unmuscled almost-

5yr old who'd done nothing:

When she arrived: Funny looking runty thing with a huge head, loads of fluff and short little legs

And disgustingly fat the following autunm (she was such a poor doer over the winter I allowed her to put weight on over the summer for the coming winter. Bad mistake!)

But now she's old (7yr

) and fit (if a little plumper than I'd like) she looks soooooo much better (but still has short little legs):

Proper noble hunter look:

And she does pretty too:

Of course, we still have Donkey Days

Anyone else want to show some good warthog to Sleek leopard photos?

Wow what a change and what a very pretty horse. You should be very proud.

Now this is cheating a bit as most 2 year olds go through an ugly stage.
This is Aleeta the day I got her Nov 2006

And this is her now as a 4 year old just getting ready for a lesson July 2008

Halfpass - Aleetas looking sooo grown up!! Are you pleased with her?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes I am chuffed to bits with her
grin.gif
I just hope that when we get her sound she continues going from strength to strength. Such a shame that her lameness happened just as she was coming on so well......

[ QUOTE ]

She looks such a kind soul though
smile.gif

I love her. She looks the type that would look after you & the sort you could put your granny on

Thanks

She is a sweet heart. This is her being ridden by a severly disabled friend
. 2 years and she's never been anything apart from perfect.

Breeding unknown but I suspect Clydesdale x TB. She's got the bone, feather, temperament and cow hocks to be a CD and obviously crossed with something much lighter.

halfpass - 2yr old to 4yr old is cheating
tongue.gif
but wow, she's turned out nicely
laugh.gif
I do like. In fact all, the baby's have turned out nicely - AimeeC - love the coloured (always wanted a coloured horse), and trendybraincell - nice cob
laugh.gif
. Shame they're all on the little side

Cosmo_Sam - I'll be over to steal you big strapping lad some time next week if that's all right. Between now and then, if you could make him bay, that'd much appreiciated

Just shows what a lot of hard work, time and patience can do..all the horses look so well.Have a soft spot for your Kalli though, not that I'm biased (my mare is a clyde x and so was my girl in a million before her). She definately has the face of a duchess and bottom of a cook doesn't she?:) She looks a total angel.
