A possible newbie on the horizon.
Completely unintentional. My horse is sweet, actually he’s not that sweet. He is a thuggish yob who I’m just not sure is ever going to be “my horse” he gets so wound up over the silliest things. We live on a farm and I am lucky to be able to ride over it. I can’t though because fields and open space blows his brain and I’m not really wanting to deal with it. I don’t bounce well.
Equally it’s not our farm, we won’t be here forever and I want to take advantage of having lovely long canters and private land to ride on while we are here.
Chatting to a lady I work for and she was telling me about another girl who works there hoping to have a horse when it retires but how the owners haven’t got back to her so she has suggested another one. So obviously she has first shout at it but I got home after thinking about it on the drive back and have just said
If she gets the one she really wants don’t give this other lad away without us having “that” convo first.
I’m not sure if I’m hoping it happens or not. I don’t want another to look after BUT it ticks many boxes 🤞 or maybe not 😂
Watch this space

Atm I have 2 x PSSM ex racers (or MIM as it's now called), a PSSM Dartmoor & a Shetland that's too small even for me. I want something that 1) would hack through Armageddon alone on the buckle 2) big, bold, enthusiastic jump 3) tests clear for PSSM. Any size (provided big enough to BS), any gender, any colour, age 3 - 33 provided that the other conditions are satisfied, might consider unbacked, don't care about blemishes. Oh, probably sound would be handy too. Please no-one send me any horses as my will power is weakening, and o/h would seriously have 50 fits if the headcount increased! We now have a very strict one in-one out policy. One ex racer is 19 but I don't want to lose him!

I was explaining to the vet about one in-one out the other day & that I would have to wait until Nature took its sad course with someone (or with o/h...?!) before I could get another one, & he said, 'And then that one would go wrong as well'. He is very probably right, isn't he?

I can't afford 5...I don't have time for 5...I can't afford 5...I don't have time for 5...I can't afford 5...I don't have time for 5... Aaarrgghhh...!
