I bought my boy a very special fly sheet today - its BRIGHT WHITE

! I'm not joking, it is offensively loud to the naked eye! (but doesn't he look cute!).

Knowing my boy, I can only assume the worst: that it will be the colour of mud before the morning

.

What do you think?:

Oh I know - it is funny. He doesn't look amused but I am sure he is plotting his revenge! I will have to take pictures tomorrow.

I'm interested to know if your boy's gorgeous, snowy white (at the momant lol) fly rug actually keeps flies off him. I don't understand how a thin bit of cotton fabric keeps flies from biting when the little buggers cheerfully bite ME through jods or t-shirts or pretty much anything. I got Sunny a Rambo Bug Buster (something like that) and it is a metallic mesh that bug mouths can't bite through and anyway it's impregnated with insecticide. I'm really interested in other people's take on this?

only just read this and wanted to warn you as my filly has the same rug, be careful of the belly cover as they arent that tight and horses can get their legs caught in them...I know that they are elasticated but I ended up taking her rug up a couple of inches to make it tighter.
