Hi All,
First of all, great forum! I am an English design student, and have just started an internship in France designing equestrian products for the brand Fouganza. It means Ive had to leave behind my lovely mare Ella in England, but Ive joined a great team with a host of ponies and horses, and interests from driving to hacking through to show-jumping and everything in-between. Ill try and get some proper pics up here soon, my new office has stables and fields tagged on to it ha.
Anyway I am new to the forum and the main reason for joining was to try and enlist the help of my fellow riders back in the UK! I am working on a project designing tack and equipment for the UK market. With such a big market for horse riding (compared to other countries) there still seems to be a lack of products that cater for new riders who maybe dont fit the bill of the typical horse rider. English horse-riding has long been falsely stigmatized as only for the wealthy few, but I dont think that the current products do anything to help this image Because of this, I am trying to find out more about other UK riders and what they are interested in outside of horse riding. I want to create products that will get people excited about horse-riding again and get new blood into the sport who wouldnt have been interested before so this is where I need your help!..
Below is a short questionnaire I put together that I am trying to get out to as many people as possible, in all corners of the UK to find out more about our riding community. Not just riders though, I want to here from non riders too, find out why they dont ride. So I would be extremely grateful if you could spare 10 minutes to fill this in for me, and pass this link on to your horse-loving friends. I am hoping that we can get a chain reaction going, so that each person passes it onto their friends, and those people to theirs etc. Anyway below is the link
