I have always hunted my event horses - plenty of event riders do. Why do you ask?

Because I'm trying to persuade American event riders that foxhunting is a good experience for them and their horses, especially greenies of both species.

Most of them are afraid to risk their event horses and themselves in a natural environment at speed.

Richard and Daisy Trayford now in Ocala FL formerly of the Taunton Vale country - great exponents of hunting eventers - Exmoor Eventing

Leslie Law - started his career in the welsh borders with the Golden Valley

Phoebe Buckley, Polly Stockton, Matthew Wright....... how many more do you want? :)

I can understand the reluctance to hunt advanced horses - I always stopped at intermediate - but certainly at the lower levels, it teaches both horse and rider to cope with the unexpected

It's always fun to guess the horses/riders competing in bad weather or deep going - which ones work on surfaces and which go hunting!
