Ulcer Prevention Supplement

Currently searching for a supplement for my ottb who is currently being treated for ulcers. Hoping to put him on something daily that will prevent ulcers in the future. There are just so many products available. Looking for some testimonies of products that actually work. Thank you!

As far as I'm aware there is no such thing as an ulcer prevention supplement. Your vet may suggest a 1/4 dose of what he is on now as maintenance if there is a real risk of ulcers reoccurring. As you know management of the horse is usually key alongside an ulcer friendly diet c

Hey, there is Ulsagaurd which is a great supplement and seems to have worked quite well with ulcer treatments and there is also Topspec a Ulsasoothe which is a hard feed. Have a read about them online.

I've resorted to what horses naturally eat - which is grass. So, lovely grass chop and a supplement. I use equilibra 500 and linseed. Very happy healthy ponies. I've come to the conclusion that all these feed companies are just out to make money so just feed natural.
