I’m wondering if anyone has scoped there horse for ulcers and used abgard and shipped in form America? My vet has said to get some and use it but he can’t prescribe it as it unavailable in the uk but show jumping operations use this stuff a lot. Can anyone enlighten me.

It's illegal to import abler products but plenty of people do it. Your vet can prescribe gastrogard it's just more expensive.

Yes he is
Ah ok then I'd ask your vet to prescribe gastrogard or peptizole.
If cost is a problem/ he's not insured then I believe if your package of abler products gets stopped you get a letter of warning. This isn't from experience but from this forum.
It's also worth saying it doesn't come from America.

As he is insured you should use a prescribed medication, it will be paid by the insurance so why use anything else, if you use an unlicensed/ non prescribed drug you may find your insurance is void and have no cover if you need further treatment, if insurance has refused to pay then look at the other options but I cannot see any benefit from buying unlicensed drugs from abroad if they will pay out.

As above- if insured, get Gastrogard or Peptizole from your vet. Injectable Omeprazole is also now a thing apparently, although I learned on here the other day that it contains Testosterone so isn't competition legal (find the thread if that applies?)

Once my insurance ran out/ on uninsured horses I have used Abler products with absolutely no problem.
