My mare is being scoped this week.. she’s moving really well at the moment and I really don’t think I can see any lameness. Tracking up nicely, head nice and low on the lunge.

She started being girthy and she has just become very grumpy in the last week. She’s on regumate and has been for 4 months.. but she tried to eat the horse next door through the bars yesterday evening! She has never done anything like that before. I’ve noticed her teets are very swollen, not sure if that’s related.

It’s either (I guess could be other things) ulcers or hormonal with the coat change.. will update once she has had the scope!

Sounds hormonal to me 👀

If I'm honest it is going through my mind, only a couple of days I guess to find out. He'll give her a good looking over.

On the lunge yesterday she was tracking up well but swishing her tail and pinning her ears back at times, more so going past the gate. My vet can't see anything in the ridden videos I sent but noticed she is the same tail swishing on both reins.

It didnt sound ulcery to me 😀

😩

He did say before scoping the tail swishing and not wanting her girth area touched could be ulcers or other things. He said most horses he scopes don’t have any ulcers despite what people say! He travels the world and is a FEI vet so I find him very interesting

Everyone always used to say to me BB is a typical ulcer horse, raced for years touchy at the flank hates getting girthed etc .

He got scoped and not an ulcer in sight ☺️
