ULTIMATE Ambition

Following the posts recently about goals and ambitions for 2007 I thought I wouldn't widen the question. What is your ultimate horsey ambition for your lifetime - they don't have to be realistic!

Mine:
To compete Novice BE
To get my horse competing at Medium BD
To be able to SJ to a respectable height in a stylish manner without being a nervous wreck
To breed a lovely baby (equine one)
To be on the front cover of H&H (is that way tooo vain?

)

There - they are not goals for next year, or even the one after that - but they are things I would love to achieve at somepoint in my lifetime - to achieve just one of them would make me very happy.

To get my horse cantering on the right leg!!!

To get him out hunting and not be killed in the process.....

I wish for simple goals to be achieved! haa haa x

To qualify for HOYS or Olympia
Be in a magazine for winning a top show
Breed a foaly out of my mare

My more realistic goals are

Being able to jump a Foxhunter
Getting my own transport

For my young horse to remain sound and get to a level where I can wear top hat and tails.

To meet the Wizard of Oz and get some courage for the show jumping.

Doubt either are going to happen to be honest but it is good to have dreams (I think?!)

I would love to be able to afford my own transport and get confident enough to take Red out on our own to various dressage comps and sponsored rides. Basically be really independant, just get up one morning and decide to go somewhere.

I would like to do a beach ride at some point - and enjoy it!

I have a lovely horse so theres nothing stopping me - of yeah apart from money!! I need to win the lottery!

I have no ideas of fame, just want to enjoy what i have

I'd love to be on the Irish pony dressage team... that is definitely not realistic though!

Realistically, I'd like to breed and bring on dressage horses when I'm older

I would love to jump the main ring at Hickstead - or in fact at this stage any ring!
Compete my mare at a decent level BSJA and to achieve over 70% in my dressage.
To get round a XC course (eyes maybe closed)
To get another horse to compete at the same level as Lotti
To gain more money - working
To meet man of my dreams without him being attached, bunny boiler or commitment phobe

To compete at Badminton and Burghley

Be on the front or even in the H&H!!

Be slightly consitent eventing!!!

Own a trailer and get her into it!!

To get placed in CB ridden classes at the Royal and GYS (will be TFTing away like mad - just to get me in the ring)

To breed from the Donkey (not next year - want to have fun with her first)

Be able to do working hunter (I have to learn to jump again)

to take Archie on small tour and then big tour, and to compete in the Kur in the WEG on him!!!

(am i way to ambitious??!!)

To be able to afford a full time groom so I could clean the house.
For my dogs and horses to live as long as me.
To get into a size 12 again.

To be able to wear top hat & tails & look like I should be wearing them!

Jump at Foxhunter (just 10cm more but my God does that seem a lot!!

To take G upto Intermediate and do a 1* (sorry, Top hat and tails again!) and know had done it myself right from him being a 3yr old.

Ultimately would love to go around a 4*, but thats a dream rather than an ambition!!

to affiliate in something (not fussy) and do well on one of my young Exracers that I had brought on - getting round a Novice event course with respectable dressage and jumping would be my ultimate aim....

I think we must be twins LOL
I would dearly love for one of mine to get to HOYS..just have to find a stunning husband for Highland mare and breed the top M&M

Easy Peasy as they have never changed

Ride in the Speed Derby at Hickstead (The Am Derby at Hickstead is a cert this year or next)

Ride with an awarded Union Jack on my jacket (I am now aiming to be a veteran team member, only 13 years to wait

More short term - I would like to win a red rosette again!

To compete at intermediate & 2* - would love to compete abroad.
I also want to jump a foxhunters be doing it properly rather than my normal mentality of just trying to get round!
I would also like to point to point. Have told my horse that if he is a useless eventer in 07 he will be entered in the members race next year!

My ultimate ambition is to compete and place in the top 10 at an intermediate event on a horse I bred/backed/trained myself.

More realistically though (

) I would like to

> pass my C test (lorries under 7.5tonn)
> Affliate my mare with the BSJA and jump at least discovery
> breed a perfect foal out of my mare (see ultimate ambition above!)
> compete my mare at intro and pre-novice eventing

I could go on LOL but I think that it enough for now!

...mine's simple... to get H fit enough and sound enough to compete BD again - It's been a loooooong 18 months since she went lame!

That would be a wish come true - and she loves going to competitions so much I think it'd really please her too!

Mine are achievable goals with time, effort and money...but they are still big aims for me and my drama queen horse!
To take him to the beach, have a gallop and paddle in the sea
To take him on a riding holiday somewhere with brill off road hacking

For people to recognise my achievements with him...bit more tricky this one!!!

Compete on the JRN team ( on a horse i have brought on myself)
Be selected to represent Britain (eventing) *in my dreams*!!! (likewise on a horse i have brought on myself)

To win some PNs on Fiddler this year

To successfully compete Hattie BE next yr
