Hello,
i should be taking my horse to do a test - her second one as part of her ongoing schooling. it is unaffiliated comp and i have a few questions that i cannot seem to find consistent answers for so i thought i would ask those that have been there and done it :)
can i ride in double bridle ?

do i have to swap schooling whip over? will points be deducted? - struggling as old break in wrist means i struggle big time on right hand

last time i took her out she was really backing off. normally in front of leg but
just needed a chivvy up but i was too scared to actually use whip as i see many carry one but none use one in the test (and can i actually carry one for this test or is it not allowed? and i thought it would be frowned upon:rolleyes:
thankyou in advance :)

No to a double bridle, as said above it is only allowed in elementary.
No you are not expected to change hands, you can if you want but I tend to keep it on my "weaker" side to back up my leg better.
I have given him a wee tap before in a test when he has died on me a little, I did it when the judge couldn't see me but they would I believe rather see you do something about getting a little more forward motion then just sitting back if that makes sense. Just don't keep smacking, one short sharp tap. :)
