Well, Im going to SJ on the big fat one next wednesday

. I'm so excited, as I was worried I wouldn't be able to take he before he goes. I've been nagging for umm, 9 months

But now is the important question

What to wear, me and him! I will have a navy show jacket, ( as thats all I have) and either a show hat, or a skell cap with a sligly illfitting (as they allways are) silk. Jods, and short boots( again all Ive got with a tie. White or navy tie?

And for the pony- Saddle cloth-White with ,my name, Royal blue with my name, brown numnah, or plain white. And boots, loads or minimal, plain or fancy. He need overreaches. I have all types of boots in Blue and green

. And bridle- hunter or raised...

So many questions!

Sorry for irrelevant unimportant post but I haven't beem SJ since 2003, and its Gingas first time! I'd like to minimise the 'sore thumb' looks although short fat pony with short fat old rider will be unique looking

I'm sure you will look very smart & not old & fat at all, bet you are really excited. Would probably go for the skull cap (thats the eventer in me!), navy tie, plain white saddle cloth & whatever boots I loved best. Have a great time, enjoy yourself, oh not sure about the bridle, just for for your favourite!

Thanks!!!!

I'm not sure if it will all be young kids or adults, so i might be young but who knows, I will look old for the pony, most people on his sie are about 12, so only 4 years difference, but it would be shocking to be though of as a 12 year old!

He has overreaches at home as he overreaches in trot (prays we dont end up trotting round the whole load!) When I left the SJ scene locally every one had as many boots as poss. as did I just because I was a sheep! Probably will leav him with out other boots though, he has a tiny bit of feather atm (emabrassed!) and that would look dumb...

Ors so 2 royal blue over reaches, navy blue, black or green, maybe all 4 feet in diff. colours just because I can!(Not putting back overreaches on really!)

(must calm down before I post again as I keep blurting random thoughs in no order!)

Rosie always SJs in a skull cap and at T'lands today saw someone wiv amazing blingy diamante bow type thingy on the back of their hat!!
Doesn't matter what you wear - have fun!

Don't worry about looking old for the pony, I'm 41 & sj & event unafil, affil dressage on a 14hh welsh X, & 13hh welsh c, you'll be fine, oh & sometimes I trot in the sj too if she's shying at everything!!
