quick question, I dont know weather to go for the horseware rhino original med or the amigo med insulator.

What would you choose and why?

Stable or turnout rug?

The Rhino range is better than the Amigos, which were originally Horseware's 'budget' range. Although the Mio is now their new 'budget' range.

One of my horses has an Amigo stable rug and its about 4 years old but washes well and looks as new.
He tends to get rug rubs but is fine in this- Im very pleased with it.
I have Rhino turnouts and they are good but I actually prefer the fit of the amigo (horse is TB)

cool thank you. Another question. do they fit well for a big shouldered cob? she normally takes 5'9 but if room is needed i tend to go up a size.

I think Horseware do a bigger cut (might be called the XL?), but the standard fit suits lightweight horses better IME, eg they are great on my arabs.

I have found Shires rugs to be better on chunkier types. Others like to use Premier Equine on their bigger built horses.

This is her in a shires

my mare has massive shoulders, some cheap rugs are stupidly small on her but amigos have always been fine! I was worried because they don't have the leg guests but they fit her really well, with no rubbing!! that's turnout rugs, which she will move about in more than your pony will in a stable rug!
