Does it actually exist or do I have to wait another year?

It would (potentially) be to drive a 3.5T box probably with a 2.2L engine on something like a Peugeot chasis (2002 or newer) but I can't find anywhere online which seems to offer insurance for anyone under 21 or even 25.

The point of getting a box would be so I don't have to be insured on a 4x4 (which is on lease and going back in April anyway) and then take my trailer test but if I can't get insured that plan isn't going to work either.

I can't even earn a no claims bonus on my car insurance in a 1.2L Polo (through no fault of mine)...have I got no hope finding horsebox insurance?

My 3.5t lorry was insured for anyone over 17 last year so it is possible! It is very expensive, I cant currently remember who I'm insured with though.....

NFU and Drayton insurance are the only people i could find that would insure me as an under 21...

NFU are more expensive than Drayton... although we have a 5k limit a year... however obviously you dont have to have this... i think it costs us £100 extra.

Anyway, It is Possible!!!

Im insured with the NFU and thats for a 7.5ton so it is possible! They were the only ones we could find who would have anyone under 21 on it. It didn't cost very much more to put me on through we did have to change it to named drivers only.

Originally we used NFU & now Shearwater who have been brilliant. This is also for an 18yr old that has his HGV on the young driver scheme. He was a named driver on both an old Merc & a brand new Scania 380 that is 12 mts long & 18 ton. So it is possible. Excess was only 250 which I think is pretty damn good.
