Under bandage pads for schooling - Eskadron, Lemieux..?

My instructor has said I need to start bandaging my turbo cob for schooling now that he's working at more advanced stuff. She recommended pads under them, so just wondered what you lot recommend? It looks like the main ones on the market are the ribbed ones - Eskadron climatex or Lemieux. I haven't bandaged for about 15 years and back then it was gamgee or nothing..! He doesn't fit boots due to short fat legs.

unless he is really smacking himself hard, fleece polo bandages with no pads should offer protection with minimal increased heating.

i rarely use pads.

And here's me thinking pads are for stable or travelling, and that for work you used exercise bandages? I guess things change (or maybe its a France/UK thing?)

I dont use pads under my bandages for exercise, especially in the summer as the legs get too hot

I bought (but never used) the Anky technical climate pads. They look really good from what I read up on them and how they look through the bag.

Horse retired so they are heading for eBay so can't give a better review of them sorry.
