Ungrateful pony!

Saw the weather forecast for tonight for heavy rain and high winds so asked hubby to take me to the yard to put little lady's rug on and give them both some extra hay (yes I know I am soft but they don't have a field shelter).

I had five minutes as we were going to mother in laws for dinner. Gave them both hay then proceeded to attempt to get the rug on her whilst holding her lead rope (she would run off otherwise) and the torch as I didn't have time to bring her on to the yard. Battled with her for five minutes and gave up! Husband not impressed and was late getting to dinner oops! And she will still get soaked tonight. Why do I bother!!

I never rug up in field on the offchance horse spooks half way through and straps not fastened. I always do it in the yard. Especially in the high winds at the moment I think its risky but that's just my opinion.

I don't with my boy but with the Shetland I wasn't too worried
