Unique breeds - aka MUTTS!

They were not being adopted, not because they are mutts, but because there were moe dogs than homes to go to. They are shifting some - good - but this will only last until the next fashion trend.
Parallels can be seen here whenever something appears on TV - requests to adopt flood in from people whp only want the one off the telly :(

It doesn't help the root cause.

That is true, it doesn't deal with the situation - simply manages some of the fallout. The same as when the blue cross or similar rehoming charity find a litter of pups abandoned which makes the press - the centre gets inundated with people wanting one one despite the hundreds of other dogs wanting homes!

I liked names they gave all the mongrels - so many get overlooked when people go 'breed shopping'
