unladened weight lt50

Hello,

Does anyone own a vw lt50? I've seen a 5 ton one that looks great but need to check how much payload its got.

Anyone used one? any good?

All lorries vary so much. The only way to be certain is to take it to a local weighbridge and have it weighed unladen with a full tank of fuel. They will give you a print out which gives its weight. Trading Standards and the police are really clamping down on smaller lorries, so you need to know that you are legal.

the only problem I've got is its about 2hrs drive away so was just hoping for a rough idea to see if its worth going to look at.

Do they write the unladened weight on the lorry paperwork? maybe the lady who is selling it could tell me if we knew where to look?!
