For example

I heard of an 18 month old Patterdale bitch who was reported to be bad with other dogs and a wood-chewer/escape artist. Casualty of a break up and currently residing on a relative's farm, tied to a kennel behind some sheds. Nuttall lines (meant nowt to me)

Paid £25 for her, brought her home to my month old, two-year old and four year old kids, cat, goat and horses and NEVER once had a problem in any area inside or out of those described. Although often praised as being a perfect stamp, I was nonetheless not tempted to breed from her and I lost her to doggy dementia just after her 16th birthday. Brave kind and loyal to the end. It should NEVER have worked...

I was given a little Westie after she had been in 2 homes and was told she bit if you took her food off her.

I didn't take her food off her and she never showed any signs of biting :).

She was a lovely little dog, if not a little yappy and I lost her to nasal cancer somewhere between 14 and 16 (never did know her exact age).
She had a very lucky escape at about 10-12 when she was grabbed by the scruff by a Giant Schnauzer - awful to see and very painful for both the dog and my wallet :(
