Hi, i have clipped my mare today, she usually has a straight forward hunter clip, leaving legs, 1/2 face and saddle patch. This year i have decided to try something different as when she has a hunter clip i ride her most of the time with an exercise sheet, but whenever we have really windy weather the exercise sheets inflate's off her bum and she dissappears into the distance! so this year i have done what i describe as a high blanket clip. The half moon over her flanks if right at the top of her flanks, so the whole of her flanks are clipped and i have just left almost a strip of hair along her back if that makes sense!?
I do think she looks a little odd so will either get used to it or whip the lot of and stick to my hunter clip!
So does anybody else just take off the area's they feel need removing or do you always stick to the standard clips?
