unusual question

can i use vetbed to make up a girth sleeve for my pony who is recovering from pressure sores/blister type thingy (from a very long ride last saturday???) i went to buy one today but the nylon ones werent padded enough and the sheepskin ones are too expensive, having looked at my piece of vetbed, its really thick and just wondered if it'll do the trick???

if you go to a fabric shop you could pretty easily make one its very simple

just to add he has one small fluidy bump just behind his elbow which doesnt seem to worry him too much when i press on it and he is fine everywhere else!!

Yes I would think that Vetbed would work for after the horse has recovered. Presumably you will not be riding the horse until the wounds have healed?

no im riding bareback currently, he is healing nicely and he has no open wounds atall, just a small bump from the girth. will be hoping to ride with a saddle again once the bump has gone!!

Yep vet bed works well. We used it to make a white fluffy noseband.
