Mine is using spare piece of rubber matting in shower pan to stop me slipping when showering with my broken foot. Also sat on chair on matting so won't damage the pan as can't put weight on said foot. Works a treat.

Anyone else have unusual uses for horse stuff?

Hoof boots make ideal pots to keep screws in when you're putting up hooks or other screw related activity!

Aside from that, saddle soap is fab leather glove conditioner. I dropped mine in the gutter outside my house once and they were rained on and run over all night. Saddle soap saved the day!

Mud fever barrier cream makes a brilliant hand cream.

A touch of Original cornucresine rubbed around the cuticles & into nails makes them lovely & shiny & they grow fast & strong.

A magic brush makes a fab gentle hair brush...great at getting tangles out of long hair.

Not quite horsey but helps with riders aches and pains...'Uddermint' embrocation for cows rubbed on your joints, tad minty but works for me!

Excellent stuff, vividly remember putting it on ex husbands aches and pains and getting it slightly wrong. Painful apparently in the wrong place.

hibiscub that was made up to clean the horses heels today came in handy when I pushed hard on the gate to try and open it.... it fell off its hinges and I fell on top of it, grazing my hand and arm on the concrete gate way floor

Have whacked a load of ice cool gel on my arm before when I banged it hard in the lorry..

Old rugs cover the hay that is by the barn door.

A friend on Facebook has a puppy who injured his leg, they couldn't get a dog cone collar small enough, so used an over reach boot :D :D :D

What a brilliant idea!!

I lost my ice scraper for my car's windscreen about three years ago - I've kept an old sweat scraper in the car ever since :D It's one of the curved ones with a rubber edge - it's not as good at chipping off ice as a proper scraper (though it does work), but it's fantastic during really snowy weather as the curved shape and handle make it easy to sweep off loads of snow at once!
