y little terrier blaze is quite under the weather.

Yesterday morning, didnt come to call in the house, didnt come when her food was being prepared yesterday morning. She has never refused food before, jsut sniffed it walked away and lay down. She has had both D&V. Tried her with small bit of chicken and egg last night but brought it straight back up. She is drinking, thought she picked up last night however has had more D&V overnight. She is very lerthargic, doenst really want to get up, will if you make her, walking around, tail between legs, ears down just looking poorly.

Want to take her to vet but only appointment is at 11.50, got to be in uni and hour way by 1 for assessment so cant make that appointemnt and they have no others.

However can take her in as an emergency or wait and take her this evening?

Do you think she should be seen this am or tonight?
Have to drive and hour home to get her.

Thanks

Definitely take her tonight if you haven't already. My JRT was like this and I really thought she just had a bit of an upset. When the vet did a rectal exam there was blood in her faeces and she had haemorrhagic gastritis - antibiotics, painkillers, IV fluids and 2 days later she was fine thank goodness. Now I take her sooner if she is off colour as she went downhill very quickly.

Hey all thanks for the advice. I wrote this and then took her straight away. Only have just seen all of your replys.

The vet said they are not sure of the cause, however, put her on a course of antibiotics, gave her a morphine injection to help make her a bit more comfortable, they think the reason for her being tender around her belly was due to the face she has had D & V. She is drinking well which is fab. She isnt dehydrated.

We are just to keep an eye on her, make sure her condition does not get worse, and if she contiues to vomit then to take her back as could be an obstruction.

So just fingers crossed for my little girly that she starts to pick up and that it is just a virus.

Hope she perks up soon. Get well snuggles from Tinks and Dougal! Hope bud is being kind to her ;)

Thanks hun. She is still not that great this morning, guarding her back end alot so think we are going to monitor her today and see if she picks up at all if not think back to the vets :( she is very letharigc still to :(

She says thanks for the snuggles from tinks :)
