up-date am i doing the right thing

having had a few days treating maere her leg has now went up likwe a ballon so had a long discusssing with the vet and we have decieded the best thing for my mare was to pts. it is bvreaking my heart but i know its the right think its just been such a bad year having lost her 11month old weanling in may( he was a rigg and went in to hospitail to get testicle removed form abdomal and developed peritonitis and was pts 2 days later as he was losing the fight and infection had too over even with all the treatment he had)but it is the best thing for her so she is booked in for 10am on friday.

So sorry I know what it's like. Lots of hugs I think it must be worse when you've got time to think about it. I made the decision while the vet was here and cried for days.

thank you for all your kind support i know its right for her but its hard. at least one thing she will be able to run free and be pain free and reunite with her son who never had a chance in life.

What a lovely pic of mother and son. Be thinking of you Friday - it will be terrible but please try to stay with your girl right to the end so she feels reassured that everything is ok coz mum's there with her.

When you feel ready, you could post the pic of mother and son on hoofbeats-in-heaven with a few words, and light a virtual candle for her. Sometimes it helps a tiny bit. xxxxx
