I have now spoken to my vet and having told her my farriers findings, she believes it now to be a deep rooted bruise and agrees with the farrier that putting shoes on her fronts are the way to go. She thinks after 10 days of poulticing that the abcess would of shown itself or given a sign it was there, farrier did say to me he was not 100% convinced she has a abcess.

So have just padded both her front feet as the other foot as I said is showing signs of bruising from taking the pressure, I am already planning to move her to a different field which as more grass on so is softer to the foot.

So the new question is how long does a bruise take to heal, if not an abcess ?
