I think with more work, that canter is going to be amazing

After you and her are more used to it try collecting her abit more to make her more uphill

But from what i can see she llooks like she has alot of dressage potential

were you worrid hun? Cause i think thats what she was showing by the hippity hoppity jobby, once that tension went, the canter was nice! Some more time and some more perserverence and your gunna be a cracking pair!!!

nailed a bit but she sliped in the first few seconds up the top end of the school (they harrowed it but she still found a place to slip *rolls eyes*)

I havent cantered due to breaking my leg. luckily with my leg as messed up as it is, it stays where i put it

so in answer to your question eventing 09 - break your leg, have lots of metal placed within it, get nerve damage, spend years in physio etc and gym building up the muscle that werent cut out in the faecotomy and voilá, a nice lower leg position

but its at the expense of my core position :S

she is most definetly a character. when she is proud of her self, she neighs continually. i took her out for a hack after schooling. when i returned, she started neighing and prancing. this went on for about 20 mins, until she became a little hoarse

Don't put yourself down!

Especially considering everything you've been through with your leg, I'd say you were a pretty tidy rider. If you want super criticism I'd say your hands were a bit fixed, but have you got a balance strap on the saddle you were holding on to? (I couldn't really tell from the vid)

There are plenty of people with no issues who aren't half as good as you so be proud of yourself!

lauraandjack - yeah i have a balance strap, i keep my hands close to it in case my leg suddenly goes or she has a strop

I was expecting to laugh woman! You told us! Pfft. Very nice, and i agree with Nailed, it looks like the extra bounce is coming from being tense. 3 years since you last cantered, and aside from the a fore mentioned tenseness, you looks great! Dee is even more stunning than i previously thought, and those extended/medium trot strides at the end WOW!

somethingorother - yes her extensions are fantastic but i cant ride them yet, so she sneeks them in every now and again as i hardly ever let her do them

i laughed when i saw it and thought oh dear! and thanks for thinking my horse is stunning

she is still a mule!
