for those that have asked ...

He is home!!!

having spent 2 nights in Newmarket at the vets, where they pumped 20litres of IV fluid into him on arrival, and double the maintenance throughout the first night and next morning, plus tubing every 4 hours day and night he is back!!

He was ok last night after he was turned out to grass for the afternoon and then fed his normal night feed and hay...managed to pass it through overnight and this morning

Am slightly worried though that they have said he was fine with them and passing droppings and eating all he was given, but this evening he spent a while eating dinner, hasnt munched his hay as he normally would and having been in 4 hours hasnt poo'd.....Am I Paranoid!!!LOL

Im just glad he is home, thank you to everyone for vibes and those that sent PM's

Glad he is home and seeming much better, hopefully he is out of the woods now. I've never experienced long lasting colic so i'm afraid i am no use with that side of things, just wanted to say i'm glad to hear he's home.

hopefully someone useful will be along soon! x

Pleased he is home.

He is probably exhausted and a bit sore from all the medical procedures he has had over the last few days and maybe a bit tender inside from the impaction. A good night's sleep in his own bed and hopefully tomorrow he will be feeling loads better.

Fingers crossed that he continues to improve. Lots of small sloppy feeds to keep the gut hydrated.

((((((((((((((((((vibes)))))))))))))))))))))) And I can understand you worrying about him not passing anything. They are professionals and see this every day and we are just mere mortals.
