Hi guys. Thought I would update you on our TB. She went out on loan with a view to buy when my daughter started 6th form and work as she didnt have the time to work her, she is a horse that needs regular consistent work. Loanees said they wanted to buy her but were awaiting an insurance pay out. Horse ended up coming home after 11 months with ribs showing, no topline in a filthy scurfy condition.

6 months and lots of hard work (just when daughter should have been working on her A2') she has come on a treat. Weight, coat and top line is much improved, schooling is coming on well and hacking is good. She initialy seemed very nervous of jumping, whereas she was bold prior to going away, we fear she may have been overjumped/faced, however this is improving every week.

Any hoo, daughter has a full time job lined up for the next 3 months whilst she saves to go travelling in Australia so the mare must be sold, I thought it might be better to try now rather than in sept.

Here is my advert wording and some pics, any feedback would be greatfuly accepted, I may not be able to reply or check responses until later tonight or tommorow so apologies in advance. Jumping pics are a bit naff, buit I just couldnt get the timing right, after about 10 attempts and lots of pics of gettaways and approaches I gave up!

I am going to try H&H so can only have 5pics so please help me decide.

Thoroughbred mare, 7 years old, 15.3. Kind temperament, snaffle mouthed, lovely paces and good to hack/heavy traffic. Was previously trained in classical dressage, would make an excellent hack or with a little work a good dressage/RC all rounder, however not a novice ride. No vices or health issues, easy to catch, load, vet, shoe etc. Good bloodlines (inc Shergar and Mill Reef). Up to date with teeth/vacs etc. Sad sale due to gap year/uni, price includes some tack.

A G&T if you got this far, I know I need one now!

Looks like a genuine little horse

Though I would try to get a better jumping pic, or jumping video as that is not a flattering picture really!! I would use one or both of the trot pics and 2nd confo shot. Hope you find her easy to sell, do you mind pm'ing me how much she is? Thanks

She can have TB moments and needs someone confident to push her on, not sure if this is lack of confidence or bloody mindedness, for example last week it was windy and the holly hedge at the end of our sand school was rattling, she has been past it hundreds of times in windy weather before, but on that day she kept jogging past it sideways convinced that something scary was in there. Also she needs someone who knows what they are doing to increase her confidence with jumping.

I am not a confident rider but can happily ride her in the school.

Hi,
She does look lovely but if I were you I would take out the section re classical dressage and I would also define 'not novice ride'. This bit may put people off as they will think they are not good enough for her. Maybe be more specific 'being a TB obviously not suitable for a total novice'. You can always 'vet' calls as they come in.
Hope this helps.
