Not been on for a long time what with Xmas etc so Ill make it brief!!
Car accident for me on the 19th November- got shunted in the ass (thank heavens for my big fat discovery!!) But left me with ratherr sore legs for about 2 weeks and then a very fresh pony!
I had pretty much resigned myself to giving IP the month off until I was more capable.
Hubby and I went home (lincolnshire) for Christmas from Hampshire where we live. Xmas Eve IP got caught up in hook/fence/stake in field and tore a large pocket on the inside of her cannon bone on her left fore, it was large enough for the vet to get her finger in to the knuckle! Lots of blood (apparently), stitches and pressure bandages followed in the next week until my return on the 27th!! She was very very lucky not to have done some serious damage to tendons ligs etc in that area but someone was obviously looking over us
Well having had the stitches out and back out in the paddock, I lunged a few times this week and rather eccstatically (sp?) got back on her for the first time in almost two months, LAST NIGHT!!
I AM SO SO HAPPY... she was much more sedate than expected and looked after her mummy very well. She felt more fluid, soft and elastic than ever.
Anywho, enough rambling HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!! I am off to RIDE my pony
