Thank you for all your opinions and suggestions, etc., all much appreciated!

I've spoken to the insurance company and I've spoken to my vet.

The general gist is that my vet will write a report based on the specialist's reports and on her knowledge of Dizz over this year. The insurance company will accept that. The valuer will call me and we'll discuss figures. If we reach agreement, Dizz will be freezemarked with an 'L'. The insurance company will pay out. If by some fluke Dizz does make it as a BS horse, we will not have to pay back. I'm not sure if we'll try, we'll do little things and see how life goes, I don't want to push her - this mental exercise has shown me just what I feel about her!:rolleyes::D

I agree, it all sounds far too easy... The insurance company said that they make it that way, that they aren't trying to 'catch people out' and that they understand what a horrible position it is to be in. There will be restrictions re. future insurance, but that's all to be discussed. I probably wouldn't be able to sell her as a showjumper, but she's not going to be sold anyway so that's academic.

So again, thank you for all the help and support and thoughts, all much appreciated.
