My mare went yesterday, her new owners are very pleased with her and are looking forward to getting started with her. I had a dream last night where I was on the yard and she came through the fence, she had ripped her rug but when I took it off she was really fit and well muscled then the yard turned into her new owners yard. Sounds a bit weird but I woke up this morning happy with my decision although I'll still miss her.

D-Day for finding out about job is tomorrow, all going well we (my gelding and I) will be moving to our new yard on Tuesday. I'm toying with the idea of putting him on part livery down the line when I've paid off the bulk of my debt.

Thanks hun, sadly I did lose my job yesterday so am back on JSA/HB & CTB until I sort myself out. I've been given 2 weeks holiday pay which will cover July's rent and August's livery, hopefully by then my benefits will come through and I'll see what I have to work with.
Pony moved today and is settled and happy, yard is lovely and the other liveries seem very friendly - lots of tea involved which is always a bonus! :D

Wondering if it's time to go back on the anti-depressants, feel very down about my prospects at the moment and wondering when/if my life will ever get onto an even keel. Feels like something is always going wrong :(

Sorry to hear you've been having a bit of a rough time but so glad to hear your mare is settled and happy. Fingers crossed things pick up a bit for you now :)

Thanks guys, jobs in my area seem few and far between at the moment so not holding out much hope. I don't think I'll ever get out of debt at this rate!

Oh no BBH im really sorry to hear this, i was really hoping it was going to be good news when i opened this.

There isnt much i can say thats any help other than (((hugs))) keep looking for jobs, they are out there, keep your spirits up and keep thinking positively- something wonderful is just around the corner.

If you ever need to chat, or could use a wee holiday up north youre more than welcome here:)

I'm so sorry about your job but glad that you found your mare a lovely new home in time to take the pressure off a bit. I'd second doing agency work it can sometimes lead to a permanent role too.

Hope you get something good sorted out soon. X

Really sorry to hear you are having a bad time. Looking for a job is very tough - I have been there.

The best thing I did was sign up to a temp agency. It got me out of the house and into full time work. I'd advise signing up to all agencies in your area. Good luck with your search. I sincerely hope you find something very soon.

Thanks for all your well wishes :) I'm trying to stay positive but TBH it's very hard at the moment, I've been treated for depression/anxiety in the past and this has really set me back - I get over one hurdle and then another is thrown in my way. I pick myself up time and time again but I'm running out of the mental strength needed to keep doing this. At least I've still got my Ollycob (for now)!
