Update from my weight loss post yesterday!

Well, this morning I went to see my girl and she had left most of her food. I called the vet (and the dentist who is coming next week), they said she's a little under the weather and to keep a close eye on her for a few days.

I took her out to a public meadow away from the yard where there is ample grass and she ate for England! I let her graze for an hour.

What annoys me is that the YO never told me about her not eating - I just wonder how many times this week it has happened! I then went to see my youngster who hadn't been given his breakfast this morning. Grrrrrr! I have just called another livery yard and going to visit it next week. Its gotta be done!

Maybe she's picked up a virus, or has simply decided she doesn't like her feed for some reason! I presume she eats most of her hay/Haylage ration?

Its a shame the YO did not inform you earlier that your horse was not eating, any how it sounds like the best idea to be looking at other yards. Good luck and keep us posted on your horse!

It sounds to me as if your YO has some information that she still needs to tell you to fill in the picture completely.
I think you are doing right in searching for new livery. Your horses will pick up again. Good luck.
