Well we went & did it & moved 10 days ago & I must say myself, the daughter & most of all the pony are soooo happy!!

He now has 11 new friends - although he is in a field on his own at the mo, there are horses all around him. We took him to a show at the weekend with one of the others & he's well & truly in love with her so they may be field mates pretty soon!

Daughter has had her 1st hack out for about 2yrs & we had a lovely surprise yesterday when we went down & the fab YO had put some lights up in the arena so she can ride after school!!

The pony hasn't pulled off any of his usual 'being a prat' tricks when turning out or bringing in & he's so settled its like he's been there for years!! Can't believe we didn't move sooner!!

That's good that things are working out so well for all of you. Does sound like you've found a good place and a very decent YO there.

Thanks- its a fab place & fab people! We were a bit scared to take the plunge but thanks to some encouraging stories from other HHO's I think we've made the best decision.

I was mostly worried about getting on with other liveries as its always been just me & the girl but they don't go in the week & we're out competing most weekends so have only met some briefly, & to be fair they were lovely!!

I found moving from my own land to a nice livery soooooo much better. As there were more horses around mine were better behaved and if I go away for the weekend I don't have to worry about whether the house sitter will get things right/be ok- the YO will sort it and do it well. I also found the cost negligable and resowing fields/maintaining fencing of your own land is also expensive! (as is having a house with a huge mortgage!)
