thankyou everyone for your expert help .my horse is now happily munching grass .our farrier found the abscees and cut it open it was on the sole and very small ,but to me seeing him like that was so scarry. he will be fine in a week or so fingers crossed for the dry weather to hold .

Yes they are really scarey before they get dealt with as the horse is sooo lame.

Sounds as if yours is well on the way to recovery. You must be so relieved.

yes hes alomst normal already.but found out he hates injections lol
