I would def go small lorry and runaround - if you look at http://www.atacanter.co.uk they have small two horse boxes - I've used them before and can comfortably fit a mare and foal or a 16.3hh warmblood on board. Just watch the load weights of them (and your horses).

plating and bits and bobs repairs ect i set aside £30 pm so i never get stung with a huge repair bill and any extra left over is a bonus,
