He is such an amazing horse

We started off where we left off on Saturday with him walking off on a circle and making sure he remembers the commands for walking on, halting, standing and moving out on the rein.
My YO had set out some poles as one of the liveries was going to have a jumping lesson. We decided to start teaching Bailey to long rein and to get him to walk over them. He has never been long reined before and he was a superstar

At first he stood there with my friend behind him to do the long reining and me in front of him and he was a little confused; he didn't have a paddy he just looked very thoughtful and decided to follow me at first until he got the idea...then he got the idea lol.
He was so good, listening to the commands, mouthing his bit and stepped over all the poles without batting an eyelid. He didn't do anything when another horse was in the school near him, cantering and having a bit of a hissy fit later on. We have done plenty of playing before so poles aren't new to him; it was just so good to see him carrying on whilst learning something new.
I know I am likely to look at him through rose tinted spectacles - although I am very aware of his faults and correcting them as I see them - it amazes me just how good he is...and it almost made my cry when a couple of other liveries came up to me and told me he was amazing with how he was progressing
Should hopefully have another update from Sunday, hope my little update isn't too self indulgent!
