Update on blazey....just spoken to vets!!!

Hey all!!

Just spoken to the vets and I actually have one of these faces as I write this but also one of these

She has a fractured pelvis and a fractured front leg..her ulnar! Does not think there is any internal bleeding or nerve damage! Her fracture in her front leg is very nasty but he thinks that a pin and plate with fix it!!
There are not going to operate on her pelvis and think that its best to let it heal naturally!!
Hopefully she will be home on Tuesday..but have to have 6 weeks cage rest!
Her observations are stable...and she is comfortable atm!
So looks like she has a good fighting chance!!

If its any help my friends little dog broke her hip/pelvis in a car accident. They didn't operate on her and let it heal naturally. It took a little while but after she had adapted and compenasted for the injury she was haring about after ball (her favourite game) as good as new. Hugs for you and Blazey!

Thats so goood to hear!! Im dreading the 6 weeks cage rest

But will fight life and limb to get her back to full health!

I have come in very late to all this, having been away for the weekend, but just wanted to say that it must have been awful for you - I hate to think how I would cope if it happened to one of my dogs.
