I posted a couple of weeks ago about my horse who had sustained an injury to the inside of her hind cannon bone, and the possibility it could be a hairline fracture.
She came sound in a couple of days and the swelling went down, but it has taken a long time to get on top of the infection, with everything in the vet's ammo belt thrown at it. On about the 4th hot poultice though we actually drew out some significant gunk, and it has been healing well since. It's actually dry at last.
Today she had an x-ray to be sure there was no hairline fracture, and it was clear, so we can now get back to normal.
It'll be fun turning her out (not!) she has gone a bit loopy from 2 weeks box rest.
