Do you remember my run in with a police car using blues and twos that sped past me & F too close?

Well I did as advised on there and I received a prompt and heartfelt apology from the head of the area (or something - sorry can't remember the poor bloke's title but he was pretty high up!) who promised to look into it.
The next day he called and emailed to say he had found out who the two PCs in the car were and they were from Shropshire police, not his local division. I gather they got a real telling off from him when he did catch up with them, and he issued a notice to all police in and around the area reminding them of what to do when horses are around, and at my request even edited it to add in same rules go for in-hand/long reined or carriage driven horses too!
So thank you very much to the nice police man (yes I do sound like I'm 12!) who obviously was genuinely concerned about helping to ensure that a similar incident did not occur again. What I think makes it even better was the fact that I don't think he was horsey but he knew what you should and shouldn't do around horses, which can sometimes be a rareity (sp?) with any drivers in the countryside.
So a happy ending, hopefully here, and proof that a well placed and constructive complaint can make a difference.
