Those who read my previous post re whether to inject horse and keep him in so I could take him to regionals, or turf him out and forget about riding him, the good news is, x-rays of his back showed the pathology was no worse than two years ago when last injected

Bad news is he needs 3 - 4 weeks of rehab and deep round work following injection so have decided to skip regionals after all as time scale too tight

Management wise I have fenced off a tiny paddock in the dry bit of his field and he is going out there in the morning for 40 minutes unless very wet. He then gets lunged in the evening, due to start ridden work next week. Disappointing to miss regionals, but seems silly to rush him back into work, vet is hopeful he should return to previous level and be able to progress further, but will probaly need annual injections to help him along.
