Update on Corkys leg - photo heavy

For those of you that didnt read the original post -

So on the 10/2/2010 i found his leg like this -

He was heavily bandaged and re visited by the vet on the 13/02/2010.

I took this as soon as the bandage came off so excuse the cotton wool!

He was then slathered in cream and it was re - dressed.
The vet then came back 19/02/2010 and it looked like this -

After a good clean it didnt look so bad -

It is now open and im applying cream 3x daily.
Im also giving him some gentle physio as he has damaged the tendon slightly.
He is to be boxed rested for 4 weeks minimum

and he is getting bored already

Poor ginger man!

oh thats horrible poor him! whenever my chaps have bad injuries like that they always get worse 10 days to 2 weeks down the line despite me cleaning it soooo well!

Poor man! These kinds of things take a while to heal, but I am sure he will be fine in the end.

Glad it is healing, but it always goes through that really yucky looking phase when it is getting better.
So is he getting loads of stable toys thrown at him at the more to keep him happy

Looking better already, hope he doent get too bored! I had a horse do something very similar (years ago) and he made a full recovery so fingers crossed! xxx

It's healing really well by the looks of things. What an awful injury poor lad.

Bloody hell!! Poor fella!! I seem to remember he was a super well-behaved boy when it happened. Hopefully he will continue this in box rest.

My horse had a similar injury after backing down a ditch with a concrete culvert over and scraping his leg down the side.We were out hunting and he got a bit over excited. It took a long time but eventually you could hardly see it. So sorry. Who'd have horses and kids eh

Well just back from seing to him for the morning - he is beginning to drive me slightly insane with his box walking and top of his lungs yelling!

Wish me luck for the remaining 4 weeks...
