I have spent the last couple of weeks doing lots of different noises around T.J who is only 10 months old and he really doesn't react at all. Had the vet out yesterday and he made noises , whistles, bangs ect which he didn't react to so vets conclusion is that he is deaf, :

or pitch deaf as we think he can hear high pitch levels. Said they can do futher tests when he's older. Luckily he is a laid back lad and seems to take things in his stride. Have been told about the tellington touch technique. If anyone has done this can you please let me know how it worked.
Thanks sharon

Poor little lad. How can tellington help his deafness? I've used it a bit on my old horse, and now and again use it on my youngster.

Can't tell you anything about Tellington but, if it helps, my oldie is now deaf and gets on with life just the same as before.

I have to be careful that he sees me approaching him in the field as I make him jump otherwise

but other than that he's fine to hack etc.

Good luck with your boy.

I work with someone who is set up as a Tellington Touch person...... It sounds intriguing but not really what I would call medical.....

I personally would not use it as it sounds a bit reikii to me, and I am very dubious as to whether it works or not.
