I'm inclined to agree, I'm in Essex and got one last night. I do believe Hampshire sightings are true, but I find it hard to believe they are driving county to county this quick.
Well, lets hope it's all a hoax and no one falls victim

I suspect that the original sightings were genuine and people, keen to warn others, have simply sent it to everyone, regardless of where they are. Always pays to be on your guard though.

A friend of mine got this text today and we are in Kent!

Thing is does anyone actually know where the texts are coming from? It came up with a number but she didn't recognise it.

In all seriousness, you can check the reg of cars if you are unsure as to what make they are, for example on https://www.mycarcheck.com/ or the RAC (www.rac.co.uk only requires the reg. no. and will give you the make and model; just click on to 'vehicle checks' then access 'car data' in the left side column.)

For Example:

Vehicle Details for registration number B16RBB

Make: TOYOTA Model: LANDCRUISER GS

I don't know how helpful this is, but it makes me a bit more wary as the information is correct. I think if it was a bit of scaremongering (which many Urban Legends and things like this often are) the information would not be true.

Let's all keep our eyes peeled any how - what harm can it do?

Text has got as far as central scotland now so unless these same guys have cloned a whole load of similar vans then they're time travelling. Still it never hurts to be vigilant - specially those in the area where it started.
