This evening a local lad knocked on the door and gave me the name of another lad that he thinks is the one who drove around our field. Apparently the lad he has named has been offroading his car in the woods and nearly ran down his mates mother! OH was talking to a local farmer who was also driven at by this lad, somehow he managed to aim a kick at the car as it passed and scratched/dented it , then drove about until he found the car and spoke to the boys father , apparently" boys will be boys". My OH nows this boys father they grew up together, so after a little more investigating he will go and have a word with him or the police. Can't say i think we will have any joy though.

I was really shocked by this when I read it the first time and hopefully this will be dealt with by the police. Driving a vehicle at people and on private land is a lot more than "boys will be boys" and whats the betting he has no license or insurance either!

Funny how small communities work isn't it! Hope the police are able to have a word with him now, but also you may find that now that everyone knows who he is he might be getting more pressure to behave from all sorts of sources.

Good idea about the hinge!
