I went on the BHWT website yesterday and saw all the lovely photos in the photo gallery and decided enough was enough, no more moping around. We are hoping to have another one, maybe two hens from the BHWT rescue centre in Allesley, Coventry on the 6th February.

If anyone is interested in this very worthwhile cause then log onto www.bhwt.org.uk and have a gander. You don't need much land, a small back garden is sufficent. These lovely hens are used to being cooped up on an A4 sized area in their cage so anything bigger is a whole new world to them! I cant explain the joy and satisfaction in setting these poor birds free and the conclusion we have drawn from our experience is that even if they only live a few months after rescue then at least they have had a life of love and care and fun.
