Just a bored random post really lol. Last post was he was just back in work after being backed and had his first proper canter under saddle I think?

Anyway....fast forward 2 months or so and he's now greenly doing most things - canter serpentines, loops, baby leg yields, spirals, schooling/ridden out in the showjump paddock, hacking, pole work. Had his first jump last week! :D Needs a bit of technique work but he's genuine enough and does them all first time without a care bless him. Took him out for his first 'proper' hack 2 days ago and he went round in front the whole way, crossed bridges, went past tracotrs ploughing, diggers, bale stacks, combines,etc...didn't even spook at the baby pheasents which suddenly appeared about flapping all around him!
Took him out on our own completely quietly for the first time today just down the farm and back, and popped him round his first 'course' of jumps outside...just for curiousity really! [all 1st hole cross poles lol....hardly jumps but still! Did them all, doubles, water tray, rustic, triple, little tiny upright...all done first time and in canter most the way round.]

Been on my own with him so no photos of him working really, shall try and get some tomorrow though! :)

Hoping to take him to his first show next weekend ;) No hunter classes though apart from workers, so shall have to settle with Riding Horse....which isn't his type at all, but oh well! Just going for a learning experience anyway and it's only local.

Just a little update I thought I'd post really! :D

He is simply gorgeous - love the baby teeth in last picture! Excuse my ignorance of breeds, but is he ID? It sounds as if his educaion is progressing well - hope your show outing goes well.

He's Catherston bred...so warmblood type! :)

Thankyou. He is a complete darling and honestly the nicest little fella I've met in a long while!

Haha! Don't worry....up until a year ago everyone kept guessing he was Spanish! Lol.

Star - Haha! Thankyou I shall tell him :p Though I think he's well aware of it and shouldn't boost his ego any more than it already is haha...
